Stop vivisection! Why?

Sometimes I read an article or a proclamation anti-vivisection. The last one few days ago on Beppe Grillo's blog. I don't want speaking about morality of if it is right or not (I don't care about morality in this case). I don't want even speaking about who call them "brother animals" (is it maybe for this reason that everyone says your sister is a bitch?). I don't want now providing documentary evidences on why animals are used to try drugs when there are "other methods" (a laboratory rat costs between 25 and 50 pounds in London, and I think that farma-companies would save that money if they could using just a software). Here and now I want to ask two questions. I'm not asking them to a huge public, but it doesn't matter.
First question. Why did you animal-rights activists start using the word "vivisection" extending it to animal medical trials? Its meaning was different. But in this way it touches people more emotionally, isn't it?
Second question. Why did you animal-rights activists use on your publications always first photos of chimps, horses and dogs? Animal testing for therapeutic purposes is really little on these species. They use mainly rats. Exactly, that "disgusting" animal that all you try to eradicate from Earth, that animal which all of you kill on theirs millions spreading poison baits often eaten by dogs. You don't speak about rats in your tirades, never. Rats wouldn't touch emotionally people's feeling, isn't it?

I imagine that all of you animal-rights activists always buy carefully goods like make-up and clothes which toxicity tests don't use animals. I imagine that you check the whole production chain, not just the final product. Indeed, it's clear that to make a wool sweater no animals suffered (maybe the sheep, if Prince Charles sheared she). But did you check the colorants? Are you sure about colorants? Or about the synthetic fibers of your beautiful T-shirt you bought at the anti-global concert? Or about the make-up you put on your pretty little noses? And if you are so careful I'm sure you buy nothing from China, since no one knows what's happening over there. What do you say? Nowadays it is impossible avoiding China? Indeed, like it's impossible avoiding assholes...
I close with a request. The next leaflet you print, the next article you will publish online, please, complete it with a scientific bibliography. A short one is enough. But add some sources. Don't just write "scientists said", "scientists found". You should write name and surname of these scientists, the article title and the fucking scientific journal where the article appeared on. I want to read them!
Maybe you have even the right on everything, but till you'll write just hokums you won't be believable.

PS Would you get or would you let your children get a drug, even a really simple drug for a cold, which has been tested by a software? Before you answer you read this and think about what could happen if the farma-companies would have put on commerce this category of drugs without notice, through animal testing, that they gave cardiovascular risks.
